Kindlin-1 (D1K4C) Rabbit mAb recognizes endogenous levels of total Kindlin-1 protein. This antibody does not cross-react with Kindlin-2 or Kindlin-3.

Source / Purification

Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Pro159 of human Kindlin-1 protein.

Western blot analysis of extracts from 293T cells, mock transfected (-) or transfected with a construct expressing Myc/DDK-tagged full-length human kindlin-1 protein (hKindlin-1-Myc/DDK; +), kindlin-2 protein (hKindlin-2-Myc/DDK; +) or kindlin-3 protein (hKindlin-3-Myc/DDK; +) protein, using Kindlin-1 (D1K4C) Rabbit mAb (upper) or Myc-Tag (71D10) Rabbit mAb #2278 (lower).

Western blot analysis of extracts of various cell lines using Kindlin-1 (D1K4C) Rabbit mAb (upper) or α-Actinin (D6F6) Rabbit mAb #6487 (lower). In lane 2, COLO 205 extracts were treated with Calf Intestinal Phosphatase (CIP) and λ phosphatase, showing that the higher molecular weight band in COLO 205 extract is phosphorylated kindlin-1 protein.



Immunoprecipitation of kindlin-1 from COLO 205 cell extracts. Lane 1 is 10% input, lane 2 is Rabbit (DA1E) mAb IgG XP® Isotype Control #3900, and lane 3 is Kindlin-1 (D1K4C) Rabbit mAb. Western blot analysis was performed using Kindlin-1 (D1K4C) Rabbit mAb.


The kindlin family of focal adhesion proteins is involved in multiple biological processes, including integrin signaling, adhesion, migration, angiogenesis, differentiation, and mitotic spindle formation (1,2). Kindlin family members 1, 2, and 3 (FERM1, FERM2, and URP2) are differentially expressed in tissues. Kindlin-1 is primarily expressed in epithelial cells, kindlin-2 is ubiquitously expressed, and kindlin-3 expression is restricted to the hematopoietic system (3).
